Repair Renew Restore

That about sums up our life for the past 17 years.  In 1998 my husband and I purchased our tiny little 1950's fixer upper.  It was to be our starter home. We had one child already and another one on the way and we were anxious to settle down. I can still remember it like it was yesterday.   After several long months of looking unsuccessfully we settled for a tiny little house that was under 1300 square feet. It was not our dream home, but we could see the potential.  It was built in 1954 and let me just say it was showing it's age.  Not a single room had been updated. Upon crossing the threshold as the owners of this little home, we felt a sense of dread.   What had we done!  The house had rooms that not only represented the 50's, but the 60's and 70's as well, but we knew we could make it home. Fast forward a dozen renovations and 17 years later and we are still repairing, renewing and restoring our little house.  If there is one thing I have learned as a home owner, it is that ones home is never truly finished
